Barbara O’Neill was born in New South Wales, Australia in 1953 as the second of five children. After her mother died aged 51, she worked as a hairdresser and then later a psychiatric nurse until her daughter contracted whooping cough. This inspired her to learn about natural health and prevention of disease via a healthy lifestyle. She moved to the NSW rainforest area with her partner at the time and six kids and grew a reputation as a healer, becoming known as ‘earth mother’ for how she helped sick children. She embraced Christianity at 26 years of age and became inspired by the writings on health of Ellen G White. After her relationship became abusive, she relocated closer to civilization with her children. She studied naturopathy and nutrition, earning diplomas in Naturopathy and Nutrition. Her healing success comes from the knowledge that the body can heal itself and we must work with it. She married Michael O’Neill in 1997 and together they have operated multiple health retreats across Australia. Barbara is a sought-after health speaker who spreads her common sense approach to health with hundreds of thousands of people. Her passion is to educate people on how to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
